Continuous wave Doppler echocardiogram

This is a continuous wave Doppler taken from the center of the jet seen with color flow Doppler on the previous page. Peak velocity occurs in systole and is 5.13 meters/second (pressure gradient = 105 mm Hg). Note that flow occurs throughout systole and diastole.
