Elderly Dogs Wanted

About the study:

The Veterinary School at UC Davis needs dogs to participate in a clinical trial to evaluate a new therapy for Canine Cognitive Dysfunction.

Eligibility Requirements:

***
No more than 4 dogs in the household
*** Age: 11-15 years
*** Senile behavior (decreased cognitive function) such as disorientation, change in sleep cycle, decreased signaling to go outside, and/or change in social interaction.
*** No medications or other treatments for cognitive dysfunction/impairment in the last month

Enrolled dogs receive:

*** Free physical exam
*** Free lab tests
*** Free treatment and advice

Enrollment procedures will be conducted at the University of California School of Veterinary Medicine Behavior Service in Davis and at our Behavior Service at the University of California-Veterinary Medical Center in Northern San Diego county.
