Students from other veterinary schools and colleges may apply to visit the VMTH. Students who have completed 3 years of a 4 year program or 4 years of a 5 year program may be eligible to select from a number of clinical rotations (see clinical services on home page) for 2 weeks or longer. Selections are based upon:
- Space availability
- Satisfactory completion of all years up to final year of veterinary school
- Good to excellent spoken and written skills in English
- Securing of proper visa, if needed
- Ability of student to fund travel and living expenses while visiting
Summer Underrepresented Minority Student Scholarship Program
The VMTH offers an opportunity for underrepresented minority students to gain experience in clinical rotations at UC Davis. Applicants select one or more 2 week clinical rotations and successful applicants are awarded a scholarship of $2000.00 to cover transportation and living expenses. The program is for students in or about to begin their final year of veterinary school.
