Equine Reproduction Service
The Equine Reproduction Service provides In-House referral services as well as “on-farm” services to area horse breeders. Services include routine reproductive soundness evaluation of mares and stallions, diagnostic evaluation of infertility, semen collection and evaluation, preparation and shipment of cooled semen, semen freezing,> ultrasonographic pregnancy diagnosis, twin reduction, artificial> insemination, embryo transfer, oocyte transfer, care of the pregnant mare, obstetrics and foaling management. Referring veterinarians are requested to discuss requests for advanced reproductive procedures such as embryo freezing or harvesting and freezing of epididymal sperm with supervising faculty before referral.
