A full range of orthopedic surgeries are performed on canine and feline patients by this service.
In order to serve you better, orthopedic surgery now also performs neurosurgical procedures required to solve back or neck problems. You may now contact either the Neurology/Neurosurgery Service (NNS) or the Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery Service to schedule neurosurgical procedures of the back or neck. Brain surgery is still performed solely by NNS. This change allows the VMTH to better serve animals during busy times when NNS is overloaded or you would like an appointment at an earlier date.
